Dune
The first book in Frank Herbert's fascinating Dune Series.
Published by ACE & others 1965, ISBN 0441172717 [Book]
Frank Herbert's Dune got me hooked. I am not generally a fan of science fiction writing, but I had to read the whole series after starting with this one. The novel takes place on planet Dune, an amazing place dominated by an extreme desert. Various themes that explore planetary ecology, religion systems, personal powers, and modes of government begin here and just keep on expanding through the series. Some interesting science too!Never a dull moment, but don't read them out of order:
