Strange Bedfellows

Almost everything you want to know about the Strange Bedfellows

Mike McCray

Lead electric and acoustic guitars and vocals. A veteran of many, many rotten little garage bands, Mike finally gained some credibility In 1985 as lead guitarist for the Vancouver comedy band "The Guess What?". The band's recordings gaIned them exposure on commercial as well as college radio.

Linda Photo

Linda Scratchley

Vocals and certifiably insane behaviour. Linda has almost thirty years of experience harmonizing with Donna (they grew up together). A key vocalist in the Saints carolling group for almost ten years, Linda can sing "Silent Night" in her sleep ... and does.

Donna Photo

Donna Easton

Vocal and shaking things (maracas). Another church choir veteran, Donna's angelic voice once drew the comment "Make me cry Patsy [Cline]."

Greg Dixon

Drums and cowbell. Greg is a veteran of a number of touring rock n' roll bands and a former member of a couple of jazz ensembles. If he ever appears disinterested on stage, he's probably just grabbing a nap while playing a song.

Stuart Mackenzie

Bass guitar. Stu has been in a variety of bands, all of which Decca Records refused to sign because "bands with electric guitars are on their way out." His musical claims to fame include a reggae version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow."
P.S. Can draw a little.

Sylvia Fishleigh

Vocals and lead tambourine. Years of singing in Jazz Bands and choirs have given this chanteuse an impeccable sense of harmony... very high, pure harmony ... really high, pure harmony ... we don't think she uses helium, that's just her voice.
Sylvia is also half of Fine Tooned.

Bob Braganza

Rhythm guitar, vocals. A longtime church choir member, Bob's powerful tenor voice and love affair with the sounds of the 50's ensure that the Strange Bedfellows won't be doing Nirvana covers any time soon.
Bob appears with Sylvia in Fine Tooned.

Bill Allman

Keyboards, sound effects, vocals. Bill describes his keyboard playing as "minimalist and therefore not painful." Once lead singer, chief writer, and co-producer of "The Guess What?" parody band with Mike, Bill rates Spike Jones and "Weird" Al Yankovic as the greatest artists of the 20th Century.
