History of The Strange Bedfellows

The 'roots' of the Strange Bedfellows unveiled here.

When "The Saints" Christmas Carollers finished their tenth year of carolling for charity in Vancouver, the key members got together and came to three conclusions: Saints Logo

  1. Music is too much fun to do just once a year
  2. They were tired of 'Jingle Bells'
  3. They were really tired of 'Jingle Bells'!

So, in January 1994, they assembled in the basement of a Vancouver home and began arranging and rehearsing a collection of their favourite tunes.

That summer, the band found themselves out of the basement and on stage where the last year has seen them appear at numerous community festivals and private functions. These include: the Marpole/Oakridge Community Festival, the Steveston Salmon Festival, Robson Square, The Vogue Theatre, the North Fraser HarbourFest, a command performance for a Vancouver Lion's Club installation night, and special two-day appearance at the Powell River Sea Fair.
