Exploring Gardens Logo Hosta - Small

Container gardens, rock gardens, path edges have but a few possibilities for these 25cm (1') and less Hosta.

Hosta 'Blue Boy'

Height 35cm. (1') Spread 50cm. (1 1/2'). This Hosta has nice frosty steel-blue, heavily textured leaves that are spade-shaped and form a very nice tidy clump. It can be used as a small edger. (Stone l986)

Hosta 'Gold Drop'

Height 25cm. (1') Spread 30cm. (1'). The pointed, heart-shaped foliage is olive coloured with a hint of yellow later in the season. It produces a nice tight mound. The light mauve flowers bloom in mid summer. It can tolerate some sun and is a very durable little Hosta.

Hosta 'Hadspen Blue'

Height 30cm. (1') Space 60cm. (2'). Another great Hosta from Eric Smith of England. This Hosta takes its time to mature but once it does it makes one of the bluest to be found in the medium-small size range. This Hosta is a must with Dicentra eximia-a knock out!
