Lobelia cardinalis

Height 3'. This clump-forming perennial has shiny, oval, dark green leaves.
  Each stem bears lots of two lipped, brilliant scarlet-red flowers in mid to late summer.
It needs plenty of moisture and full sun.
Zone 3-9
