The greyish-green leaves form a mat overwhich the chalky pink flowers bloom from June into the fall. The plant sends out long groundcovering branches in summer that will die back to the crown over winter.
It is a bit tender so is best grown in a sunny sheltered spot in well drained fertile soil.
